Happy Halloween

We had our first Halloween in Texas! The boys had a great time at our ward's carnival and trunk-or-treat. Sam wishes that Halloween was every day. Will was our Lion and Sam was Super Why! (for those of you who don't know who Super Why is he has the power to read. He is the star of one of Sam's favorite shows). We are LOVING Dallas. We live in a nice suburb called Allen, just outside of Dallas. John loves his job and enjoys riding the train downtown. I really like our town home and both the boys are adjusting well. Thank you again to all friends and family who helped us get packed and out of Utah. We miss everyone and hope that you will come visit anytime! We love you all!

We are moving to...

DALLAS! John was offered a great job in Dallas. A friend that he used to work with called him and asked him to come work with him. We are very excited but a little stressed with all the things we have to do in 3 weeks! John starts October 19th. If you are ever are in Dallas or want to come to Dallas you will have a free place to stay!

The flood

d

About 2 weeks ago I went downstairs to put some laundry in. When I came back down to change it I was walking in a lot of water. Naturally I thought our drain in the laundry room had backed up. I run upstairs to get my phone to call John. If you know me you know I am freaking out by this point. He asks me to go back downstairs to tell him how bad it was. Then I start walking around downstairs and realize that water is everywhere! At this point I am almost loosing it. I then start hearing water and realize that it is coming from outside. I then try to go figure out where it is coming from. As I run outside I start seeing we have a huge puddle along the side of our house. I realize that it has to do with our sprinkler line. By now John is on his way home and he is trying to tell me where to go to turn off the water. I can't figure it out so I am running to my neighbors to see if they can help me. I then start to call my brother-in-laws. When my sister Hilly answers the phone and I start to tell her what happened I start bawling! I finally get some composure and she and her husband come running over. We get the water turned off and start the process of hauling out the water with buckets. John gets home and calls our insurance company. The great news is that they cover this! We feel so lucky that all we have to do is pay a small deductible and get everything replaced. So for the past couple weeks we have had people coming in to do sheetrock, paint, carpet, baseboard, flooring, and the best part clean up!

I love you Will!

I feel like I have not taken as many pictures of Will as I did Sam when he was little. Anyone else feel that way about their 2nds, 3rds, 4ths...? Anyway, I thought I would post some pictures of just him. He is the sweetest little guy. He is always happy. He smiles at everyone around him. We love having Will in our lives. The only thing that Will does not do well is eat! I just took him for his 6 month check and he wasn't even on the charts for weight but he was 60% in height! He is getting better at eating but he still struggles. We sure love!

I touch it!

A little while ago we went to John's grandparents cabin. There are horses in the field next door and Sam loves horses. As you can see he is trying so hard to touch the horse. This is the before picture, and after....

...the excitement was so great! He kept saying, "I touch it! I touch it!" I love how excited he can get about things!

Summer Hikes

We went up Mueller Park canyon and hiked up the Elephant Rock trail. We had a great time except Sam wore both John and I out! He wanted to keep going and John and I made him turn around because we were tired! That boy could go on for miles.

We went up to Christmas Meadows with my sister, brother-in-law Rob, and their son Jack. we had a great time! I really like to get up into the mountains and walk around. I really like to see Sam so happy while he is throwing rocks into a stream. I think he would stay there all day and do just that. However, I didn't like the bugs and I have to say that this picture is not the best of me but I think Will looks really cute!
